Configure config for COP 1.6

Dear friends, in this long article I will tell you how to create and configure the config for COP 1.6. How to create a config for CS 1.6

You can edit configs by any text editor, such as the standard Windows program, "Notepad".

You can create your config one of 3 ways:

2. Set the desired settings through the game menu and save them to the file by entering the following command to the Console:

3. Using special programs.

In all 3 methods, a new CFG file is created with the specified name, and download such a file and apply your settings in the game you can enter a simple command to the console:

You do not need to create a new config, just work with the standard CFG and despand it.

The most important config settings that should be changed in the config:

  • hud_FastSwitch. - We put the value "1" so that the weapon switching is instant.
  • cL_WEATHER. - Install "0" to disable weather, which lowers your FPS on some cards.
  • _Cl_autowepswitch. - We set to your taste: "1" - the selected weapon immediately appears in the hands, "0" - it falls into the inventory and it can be chosen later.
  • setInfo "_VGUI_MENUS" - Again, we put in your liking: "1" - when purchased, the menu will be displayed with the pictures of weapons and ammunitions, with the possibility of choosing the mouse. With the value "0" - we turn off the graphic menu and in this case the procurement menu and the command selection will be displayed as text, the menu navigation is performed by pressing the digits on the keyboard (this type of menu is convenient for professionals who are important procurement speed, not pictures in the menu ).
  • _Cl_minModels. - To increase the FPS, it is recommended to set the value "1", turning off the detailed drawing of all models of players.
  • cL_DYNAMICCROSSHAIR - It is recommended to immediately get used to a dynamic sight to control your shooting. Set the value "1" and then when squatting and jumping your sight will expand, letting it understand that the scatter during shooting will be much larger.
  • fPS_MAX - We set "101" as the maximum possible FPS value.
  • cl_cmdrate. - This is the speed of sending packets per second from your client to the server. The setting can take a value from 10 to 101. With a good Internet connection, it is recommended to set the maximum value "101".
  • cl_updaterate. - This is at what speed per second server will request packages from the client. Total values \u200b\u200bfrom 10 to 102, so boldly put "102".
  • cl_cmdBackup. - If there is a loss of packets (unstable connection with the server), then we need to re-send commands from the client and it is this setting that the number of commands that it constantly saves is responsible for. For a smoother and comfortable game, it is recommended to set the value "4".
  • cl_Rate. - The number of bytes per second, which the client transmits to the server (value from 1000 to 20,000). It is recommended to set the value "20,000".
