Replacing High Efficiency Air Purifying Filters

· High efficiency filters need regular replacement.

1. Open the bezel

2. Take out the air filters

3. Detach the filter element and insert a new one

4. Attach the new air-purifying filter

5. Reinstall the air-purifying filters and filter unit, close the front panel

(Press the bezel down in three places - at the edges and in the center.)

q To purchase air purifying filters, contact the company from which you purchased the air conditioner.

q When the high efficiency filter element is dirty, it can no longer be used and must be replaced.

Cleaning the bezel

Remove the bezel to clean it.

Attention!

· Use a sturdy, stable chair to remove or install the bezel.

· When removing and installing the panel, hold it securely and do not drop it on the floor.

· Do not use water hotter than 40 ° C, gasoline, kerosene, thinners or other chemicals, or abrasive materials.

· After cleaning is complete, replace the panel and make sure it is securely fastened.

1. Lift up the front panel of the indoor unit

· Grasp the tabs on the sides of the panel and lift it until you hear a click and the panel locks into the raised position (lifting angle is about 60 °).

2. Remove the bezel

· While supporting the panel with one hand, slide the catch down with the other hand.

· Pull the grill towards you with both hands and remove it.

3. Clean the panel from dirt

· You can clean it with a soft cloth dampened with water.

· You can use a solution of neutral detergent.

· The grill can be washed with water. After washing, it must be wiped with a dry cloth and dried out of direct sunlight.

4. Put the panel back in place

· Insert the three panel brackets into their respective slots and press the grille evenly against the block.

· While supporting the grill with one hand, slide the catch up with the other hand.

· Slowly lowering the grill, return it to its original position. (Press the grate in three places - at the edges and in the center.)

Verification operations

Check if the foundation and fastening of the outdoor unit are strong enough; whether it can fall and the block is corroded.

Make sure there are no breaks or damage grounding the wire blocks.

Check if there are any objects obstructing the entry of air into the external and indoor unit and the air conditioner or air outlet from them.

Make sure that water flows freely from the drain tube during both cooling and heating.

If water does not come out of the drain pipe, it may be dripping from the indoor unit. In this case, turn off the air conditioner and consult a professional.

Operations prior to turning off the air conditioner for a long period

1. To dry the inside of the air conditioner, select a good day, put the air conditioner in the fan only mode, and let it run for several hours.

Regular air conditioner maintenance

FAULT DIAGNOSTICS

Signs not indicative of breakage

The situations listed below are not related to a malfunction or breakdown of the air conditioner, but have other reasons. Therefore, in these cases, the operation of the air conditioner can be continued.

· The system has automatically entered the defrosting mode of the outdoor unit. Wait 3 to 8 minutes.

Water dripping or steam escaping from the outdoor unit

n In Heating Mode:

· When defrosting, ice melts and forms water or steam.

n In Cooling or Drying mode:

Light mist comes out of the indoor unit.

· In cooling mode, moisture contained in the air condenses and is carried out in the form of a mist from the air conditioner by the cold air flow.

You smell from the indoor unit.

· Smells from furniture, tobacco smoke, etc. are absorbed by the indoor unit and then blown into the room. (In such cases, it is recommended to contact a specialist who will wash the interior surfaces of the air conditioner.

The fan of the outdoor unit rotates although the air conditioner does not operate

n Immediately after turning off the air conditioner:

· The fan of the outdoor unit must rotate within 30 seconds after being turned off.

n When the air conditioner was not working long time:

· When the air temperature is high, the fan of the outdoor unit will start automatically to avoid damage to the system.

The air conditioner operation stops suddenly (but the OPERATION lamp is on)

· The system may automatically shut down when the supply voltage fluctuates greatly. It will turn on again after about 3 minutes.

Checks prior to calling a specialist

Before contacting an air conditioner repair and maintenance technician, perform the following checks again.

Clean air filters or remove obstructions. Turn off the power at the circuit breaker and then turn it back on. Then try starting the air conditioner with the remote control. If the OPERATION lamp continues to flash, call the specialist from the company that sold you the air conditioner.

Air conditioner malfunctions

Air conditioner malfunctions may be caused by lightning strikes or strong radio waves. Turn off the power and then turn it back on. Then try starting the air conditioner with the remote control.

Cases requiring an immediate call of a specialist

Selection of operating modes
The Daikin FTX20JV / RX20JV air conditioner model supports the following operating modes:
auto selection;
heating;
cooling;
drainage;
ventilation.
In auto select mode, the air conditioner maintains the temperature within the limits you specified. If it gets colder, heating turns on, if it gets warmer, cooling.
Heating mode is suitable during cooler seasons. Keep in mind that in this mode freezing of the outdoor unit is possible, so the operation will periodically pause (no more than 10 minutes) to defrost the outdoor unit. In addition, the fan may not start immediately after pressing a button on the remote control. This is how the protection against blowing cold air works - first the heat exchanger heats up, and only then the fan turns on.
In cooling mode, the air conditioner cools the air and dehumidifies. The temperature is maintained at the level you specified.
In dehumidification mode, the electronics work in such a way as to remove moisture from the air while minimally affecting the room temperature.
In ventilation mode, air circulation throughout the room is maintained.

Additional modes and settings
For more efficient cooling and heating of the room, you can use the TURBO fan operation.
For work at night, the Sleep mode is provided. The air conditioner is quieter in it.
To save energy, the Econocool mode is provided. In this mode, the air conditioner consumes less energy.
Automatic restart. If the air conditioner worked in any mode and there was a power outage, then after the appearance of energy in the network, the operation will automatically continue in the same mode.
Timer - to start and stop the operation of the air conditioner on a schedule, it is possible to configure the start and stop at a specific time.

Useful Tips
Do not overcool the room. This leads to waste of energy and can harm your health.
Close blinds and curtains in the room to prevent sunlight from heating objects.
A large number of people and working heating devices can also complicate the operation of the air conditioner.
It is necessary to monitor the position of the vertical damper. It should be vertical when heated, and horizontal when cooled.

Cleaning your air conditioner
Do not touch metal parts with bare hands. Unplug the air conditioner with dry and clean hands before cleaning.
Use only detergents previously dissolved in water.
Do not use abrasive detergents, gasoline, thinners, hot water. All this can hurt appearance plastic.

If you think there is a problem
The air conditioner does not work. Check if the plug is connected to the outlet. Is there power on the network. Has the shutdown timer turned off the air conditioner?
Cannot turn on the air conditioner for 3 minutes after turning it off. This is protection against frequent launches. Wait 3 minutes and try again.
During drying, the indoor fan turns off. During operation in this mode, the electronics ensures that the minimum cooling of the air occurs when the room is dehumidified. Also, it is necessary to drain condensate from the core.
During heating operation, the indoor unit stops (maximum 10 minutes). This is necessary to defrost the outdoor unit, which is covered with ice in this mode.
When heating mode is started, the indoor unit does not start working immediately. First, the heat exchanger warms up, and then the fan turns on - this protects you from being blown over by cold air.
After the appearance of power in the mains, the air conditioner began to work, although no one controlled it from the remote control. If the air conditioner was operating in any mode before the emergency power cut, then after the power supply appears, it will automatically resume operation in the same mode.
Water flows from the outdoor unit. During cooling and heating, the air conditioner contains elements colder than the environment. Condensation may form on them. If ice appears on the outdoor unit while heating the room, water will appear during defrosting.
White smoke is coming out of the outdoor unit. During heating, the air conditioner removes cold air outside, around which fog can form.
The image on the remote control has become worse, disappeared, the remote control does not work. Check the presence and correct installation of batteries. Replace them if necessary.
The room cannot be heated / cooled properly. This can be due to a number of reasons. Check if the operating mode is selected correctly, the power of the fan. Are the windows and doors in the room closed, are there any heating devices working? If there are a lot of people in the room, the cooling work will be slower. Is there dirt on the air filters?
The air coming out of the air conditioner has a strange smell. Are the air filters clean? Is there any contamination inside the air cavity? The smell may be drawn in from the outside, such as from a carpet or wall. This is especially possible when condensation gets on them and mold growth.
A crackling sound is heard when the air conditioner is operating. Fluctuations in temperature cause the plastic to resize and crackle.
A splash, gurgling is heard. This is possible with the movement of refrigerant, condensate. If the air conditioner is turned off, and there are sounds, then it is possible that this is due to the operation of the exhaust ventilation - air will flow into the room through the condensate drain hose.

When the air conditioner will not be used for a long time
