Finnish company HMD Global Oy, which has exclusive rights to the Nokia brand, announced the relaunch of the legendary phone on exhibition Mobile World Congress in February 2017.

The company assures that one charge of Nokia 3310 will be enough for 22 hours of talks and 31 days of standby time. However, there have also been changes corresponding to the spirit of the times: the device has become thinner, its weight has significantly decreased. The monochrome display has been replaced by a 2.4-inch color screen with a low resolution, which allows the phone to hold a charge for a long time. The most "radical" changes are the appearance of a two-megapixel camera, support for MP3 format and the ability to use two SIM-cards. The novelty costs 3990 rubles.
Everything new is well forgotten old
The updated phone comes in four different colors - red, yellow, blue and gray. Nevertheless, this feature was available in the first model of the device, moreover, there were five colors - classic blue, known all over the world, as well as silver, yellow, red and white. The ability to easily change the body at one time gave impetus to the production of replaceable panels. Third-party developers have taken advantage of this feature of the Nokia 3310, providing owners with panels with their favorite movie characters.
The company expects the 3310 to be bought as a second phone due to the nostalgic feelings.
A culturologist, associate professor at the School of Philosophy told NSN that the return of the legendary smartphone is a natural trend for modern society.
“The iPhone is too easy to use. There are apps for everything. There is complexity in this apparent simplicity, because everything is available to you. While receiving old phone, you understand that there are exactly the functions that you need. That is, there is no need to have a Pay system, - says the expert. - This was already the case in 2011, when it was fashionable in the hipster subculture to refuse to buy new iPhone for the old Nokia. They were tied with electrical tape, because the apparatus was already falling apart. They looked to simplicity. And Nokia feels this need for simplicity. "
Not alone 3310
In addition to the updated Nokia 3310, in the second quarter of 2017, global sales of the line of smartphones of the Finnish brand will also begin at operating system Android (owned by American) - Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3.
The flagship will be the Nokia 6, which is also slated for release in the first half of 2017.

Nokia 5 is made in an aluminum case, the display is 5.2 inches, the resolution of the main camera is 13, and the front camera is 8 megapixels.

HMD Global, which acquired the rights to the Nokia brand in May 2016, is heading towards making affordable, rugged phones. The Redmond-based corporation, in turn, has owned Nokia's mobile division since spring 2014, unveiling several device models that have not resonated with consumers.
