Design

The appearance of the new Nokia 3310 can be described as “just an inexpensive phone”. The body is made of plastic, its middle is slightly wider, and it narrows by a couple of millimeters towards the upper and lower parts.

Additionally, this effect is emphasized by a light gray (almost white) plastic insert - it is the same for all phones, but the "back" and the area around the keyboard can be blue, gray, yellow or red. The first two options are matte, the last ones are glossy.

In terms of build quality and materials, the smartphone leaves a controversial impression, especially considering the price. There are no global problems - the fit of the parts is accurate, there are no huge gaps, everything is fine. On the other hand, with strong pressure, the lid can bend and, if desired, plastic creak can be achieved - a piece of foamy material initially glued under the lid does not save you from this.

The lid is fastened with latches, there is a recess for the nail at the bottom, for more convenient opening. Under it - removable battery which hides two MicroSIM slots and a separate MicroSD. The right slots for the first SIM and memory card are normal, the left for the second SIM is spring-loaded.

The phone has a fairly simple design - the battery exposes the back side printed circuit board, immediately under the cover you can see hex bolts and latches that fix the body halves.

The readability on the street is average, the presence of the polarization layer is not very noticeable - in the shade information is well discernible, but in the sun you have to choose an angle or cover the screen with your palm. People with vision problems won't like it that much.

Keyboard

The keypad of the new Nokia 3310 consists of 16 keys: 12 numeric blocks, two double function keys, a “joystick” with an inscribed confirmation button. There are raised dots on the top two function buttons and around "5". The backlight is uniform white, but the "joystick" is not backlit.

The convenience of such keyboards is a subjective matter, it seemed to me average. The buttons have a slightly short travel with a noticeable click. They are not the largest, but have a slightly convex shape. It was more convenient for me to press them with my fingernail or the edge of my finger, but not with the whole pad (due to the size).

The updated "legendary" phone runs on the Nokia Series 30+ platform. It has only a slight visual resemblance to "that Nokia". The platform was developed by MediaTek specifically for regular phones under the Nokia brand.
