The State Duma summed up the results of the IV All-Russian conference "Young technicians and inventors"

The State Duma on June 19, 2017 summed up the results of IV All-Russian conference"Young Technicians and Inventors", timed to coincide with the Day of Inventor and Innovator. The conference is the result of the All-Russian competition for young inventors and technicians.

The purpose of the conference is to support young inventors, improve the status of an engineer and inventor, attract talented representatives of the younger generation to science and design activities, and popularize scientific knowledge.

Opening the conference, a member of the Committee on Education and Science Vladimir Kononov said that this year more than 300 projects from 73 regions of Russia that passed the regional selection were submitted to the competition.

This number of participating regions is a kind of record for the Conference since its foundation in 2014. The age range of young inventors also turned out to be unprecedented: from 6 years old - the youngest, to 18 years old - a school graduate. The regional qualifying rounds of the Conference were attended by schoolchildren involved in circles and sections of technical and innovative creativity, invention and programming.

Addressing the laureates and nominees of the competition, Deputy Chairperson of the State Duma Irina Yarovaya noted that "Russia's victories have always been associated with people like you." “You have that period of your own capitalization, thanks to your mentors, you can enrich yourself by creating high-quality promising developments,” the Deputy Chairman of the State Duma is sure. Irina Yarovaya noted that today in every region serious attention is paid to out-of-school education, which allows "to encourage the inquisitive mind of those who know how to work."

Chairman of the Committee on Education and Science Vyacheslav Nikonov recalled that all the great scientists of Russia who made unique discoveries were inventors in childhood. “The main thing is not to be arrogant and keep creating and inventing,” he said.

Vladimir Kononov also wished the participants of the Conference to develop, learn, create, not to deviate from the chosen path. V. Kononov also presented the book "The Lefty Effect", co-authored with Alexei Garin, which tells the stories of discoveries, achievements, triumph and oblivion of Russian inventors.

The participants of the meeting shared their memories when in childhood they subscribed to and read the magazines "Young Technician", "Science and Life", tried to design something, glued, soldered, assembled receivers and installations for light and music. Now science has made great strides forward, and today's young people have much more opportunities to model and create.

The winners in each nomination were awarded diplomas and commemorative medals, as well as valuable gifts from the partners of the Conference. Among the winners are elementary school students - for many of them this is not the first award. Competition "Young Technicians and Inventors". In Vladimir, schoolchildren researchers presented their engineering projects today. A meeting of the Committee on Education, Science, Culture and Youth Affairs was held in the Quantorium Technopark. It was chaired by Olga Khokhlova, Deputy Chairperson of the Legislative Assembly Vladimir region.

Maxim Purtov became interested in biology from the first lesson. The teacher was able to really captivate the subject. Now Maxim is already twice a participant in all-Russian competitions and the author of his own project - "growing plants on soilless environments" - he is among the top five. Maxim says that people are used to using the soil for planting plants, although there are more economical and environmentally friendly methods. They, according to the young researcher, existed before, but were not sufficiently studied. With the help of bioponic and hydroponic systems, plants receive nutrients from the artificial environment. And can be grown anywhere. The Murom schoolboy thinks globally: this can be done even in space, where there is no water.

Maxim Purtov, pupil of 8 "B" class of school №12 in the city of Murom:“That is, in fact, this option is adapted where the soil is not fertile at all. That is, let's say, somewhere in the desert, or even can be grown on a space shuttle. "

Compared to last year, more children participate in the competition for scientific and technical creativity - about 50. The five best works are growing plants on soilless environments, a plotter for creating drawings on any surface, an excavator from scrap materials, a robot cart for working in a warehouse and algorithms construction of landscapes - they are planning to send them to the State Duma for a competition. And this is the federal level. For a while, engineering specialties were not very much in demand among applicants, notes Olga Khokhlova, deputy chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Vladimir region. And we need our own innovations - without them, the economy cannot be restored. Therefore, the search for "fresh young minds" is ongoing, the vice-speaker emphasizes. And it is important to instill in children an interest in research already from school.

Olga Khokhlova, Deputy Chairperson of the Legislative Assembly of the Vladimir Region:“Our scientists have always changed the world in many fields. We were the first to stand in space, and we still hold these positions. Well, a lot could be listed in the areas where we were the first. Today I would like to receive new layer scientists, young scientists, innovators who could make a breakthrough in various sectors of our economy. "

The new status of the Vladimir State University will also help to develop this direction. Having entered the top eight of the country's flagship universities, VlSU will receive additional financial support. Thanks to these funds, they plan to open new budgetary places and additional specialties. And, of course, launch new competitions to attract young scientists. Including engineers and inventors. The future of Russian science is precisely in the hands of enterprising youth with "golden" hands.
