general characteristics academic subject: An integral part of a comprehensive system of educational work in a special (correctional) school of the VIII type (for children with intellectual disabilities). It is aimed at solving educational, upbringing, corrective-compensatory and medical-health problems.

Physical education is carried out in close connection with mental, moral, aesthetic education and labor training, occupies one of the leading places in the preparation of students with intellectual disabilities for independent life and industrial work.

Physical education contributes to the formation of positive personal qualities, is one of the means of successful social integration of children into society.

A characteristic feature of children with intellectual disabilities is the presence in them of various disorders of mental and physical development, caused by organic damage to the central nervous system of various etiologies, arising at different age stages of individual development. Often, children have blurred movement disorders, which may be invisible in everyday conditions, but are manifested with significant physical exertion, in complicated motor tasks.

The motor impairment of students especially increases when performing precisely dosed muscular efforts, with cross-coordination of movements, the spatio-temporal organization of the motor act.

It should be noted that among the students of the special (correctional) school of the VIII type there are children with well-developed motor skills. This makes it necessary to take into account and implement a strictly differentiated and individual approach to training. A physical education teacher can successfully solve the correctional tasks facing him only if he conducts a lesson on the basis of knowledge of the structure of each student's defect, all his potential capabilities and specific violations. The teacher must know well the data of medical examinations, work in contact with the school doctor, and be aware of the current state of health of the students.

Specific educational and correctional and educational tasks of physical education at school for children with intellectual disabilities are: health promotion and hardening of the body, the formation of correct posture; formation and improvement of various motor skills and abilities, such as strength, speed, endurance, agility, etc .; correction of violations of the general physical development of psychomotor skills, education of the culture of sanitary and hygienic skills, maintaining stable physical performance at the achieved level; the formation of cognitive, aesthetic, moral interests based on the material of physical culture and sports; education of stable moral and volitional qualities: perseverance, courage, the ability to overcome difficulties.

The physical education program for grades 1-4 structurally consists of the following sections: gymnastics, athletics, ski training, outdoor and sports games ..

To section "Gymnastics" included physical exercises that allow you to correct various links of the musculoskeletal system, muscle groups. Due to difficulties in spatial and temporal orientation and significant violations of the accuracy of movements of students, exercises with objects are also included in the program: gymnastic sticks, flags, small and large hoops and jump ropes. In lessons with elements of gymnastics, mentally retarded children must master the skills of climbing and climbing. Exercises in lasagna and climbing are an effective means of developing strength and dexterity, improving coordination and balance skills. These exercises have a positive effect on overcoming fears of heights and space, help develop positive self-esteem, and regulate children's emotional and behavioral responses.

Chapter "Athletics" traditionally includes walking, running, jumping, throwing. Athletics helps develop vital motor skills such as walking, running, jumping and throwing. Teaching the elements of athletics and their improvement should be carried out on the basis of the development of speed, agility, flexibility, strength, endurance, and reaction speed in children. It is known that walking and running exercises are widely used in physical education classes not only for correctional purposes, but also for health-improving and therapeutic purposes. A special place in this section is given to throwing, since when performing exercises in throwing, children develop accuracy, dexterity of actions with objects, and an eye. Schoolchildren learn the correct capture of the ball (evenly and with sufficient strength), the ability to perform a technically correct throw, distribute attention to the capture of the ball, to commensurate the flight of the ball with a reference point.

Ski training in the conditions of a special (correctional) school of the VIII type, it is recommended to carry out from grade 1, at temperatures up to -15 ° C with a slight wind (with the permission of the school doctor). Skiing can improve the health of children in the winter, reduce the number of diseases that are typical for this time of the year. In addition, ski training includes all the necessary complex for the development of movements, posture, breathing, coordination, motor skills, etc.

One of the most important sections of the program is the section"Games". It includes outdoor games aimed at developing motor and physical skills of children. Thanks to games, children develop such mental properties as attention and attentiveness, intelligence, initiative. Games promote collective action, have a beneficial effect on the emotional relationships of children with each other, between groups of children. At school for children with intellectual disabilities, the main form of organizing physical education classes is a lesson consisting of four main parts: introductory, preparatory, main and final (all parts of the lesson are interconnected). As in other subject lessons, the teacher uses techniques such as explanation, demonstration, exercise, consolidation (in the form of training sessions), assessment (praise, encouragement, censure), taking into account the specific content and goals of the lessons. It is desirable that each lesson include elements of play, entertainment, competition, which greatly stimulates the interest of children in physical education lessons. The above techniques and elements are especially necessary for children with a more complex structure of intellectual underdevelopment. The example of the teacher himself is important here, his cooperation with the child, skillful communicative interaction of strong and weak students so that all children are captured by the teacher's attention and help. It is mandatory for a teacher to monitor the physical development and physical fitness of students, which will allow tracking the dynamics of development of mentally retarded students from the moment they enter school until graduation. For these purposes, a health passport is issued for each student of the school, starting from the first grade. Control standards are taken twice a year - in September and May at physical education lessons. Speaking about the socialization of a graduate of a special (correctional) school of the VIII type as a general goal, one must not forget that physical health is one of the main components of his independent life, therefore, the entire teaching staff of the school should consider physical education (training) as a priority, create all the necessary conditions for the successful solution of this problem

Control over the level of physical development and physical activity of students is carried out according to

as you progress through the training material in the form of verification (control tests by type

exercises: running 30-60 m: long jump from the spot; hand strength (right, left), throwing pa

range, medicine ball throw (1 kg) from behind the head with both hands from a sitting position legs

apart.

Tests are carried out 2 times a year: in September - May (selectively). Received data

processed, compared with indicators of physical development (height, weight, volume of piles]

spirometry), are recorded in a special journal of physical activity and physical

development. Based on these data, together with the school doctor, physical education is determined

groups.

A special approach in teaching and in the adoption of standards should be used in relation to children

with current conditions and various diseases (epilepsy, schizophrenia, enuresis, hydrocephalus,

congenital heart defects, etc.).

Value guidelines for the content of the course of physical culture: the basis of educationalprocess, the following values of physical culture lie: 1.
