Antutu benchmark results for smartphones. Best Android phone rating Antutu Benchmark

It cannot be argued that the performance of smartphones is the main factor when choosing a device. But with the rise in popularity of 3D games and VR, performance measurement becomes more important. We offer you the rating of productive smartphones according to AnTuTu.

For more objective results, overestimated indicators and failures during testing were excluded from the calculation of final estimates. Also, a new factor was introduced in assessing performance - stability.

Testing rules

  • all ratings in the rating are average, these are not maximum values
  • statistics are taken for the full period from January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2016
  • to determine the final grade, the results of at least 2000 tests were used for each model

The overall ranking of the most powerful smartphones according to AnTuTu

The 2016 smartphone rating shows that the iPhone 7 Plus becomes the most productive, followed by the regular iPhone and the OnePlus 3T (recall that this particular device became the best smartphone 2016 to Android version Authority).

The performance of a smartphone is determined by the processor under the hood of the device. Note that all Android smartphones in the ranking are equipped with Snapdragon processors of the latest generation (at the end of 2016) version 821, and only Vivo Xplay 6 and OnePlus 3 run Snapdragon 820.

A10 is installed in Apple smartphones.

Since the rating presents devices on different operating systems, for a better understanding of the picture, AnTuTu conducted an additional comparison of top-end smartphones of 2016 with other devices running the same operating system.

Rating of the most powerful smartphones and tablets on iOS

The iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 7 only came out in September 2016. Both smartphones are powered by quad-core processors clocked at up to 2.4GHz. That is why both smartphones score the same number of points in the test. Thanks to iOS itself and optimization, users get high performance. These smartphones are optimal for 3D games.

Rating of the most powerful smartphones 2016 on Android

As you can see, OnePlus 3T, which was released only in November 2016, ranks first in the ranking of the most productive smartphones according to AnTuTu with a score of 163,578 points. The Chinese smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 821 processor with a core clock speed of 2.5 GHz paired with an Adreno 530 GPU. The OnePlus 3T smartphone is available in two versions:

  • 6GB RAM + 64GB internal storage
  • 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage

The second place in the ranking of smartphones 2016 According to AnTuTu, it ranks LeEco Le Pro 3 (version with 6GB of RAM) with a score of 158890 points. This smartphone was repeatedly at the top of the AnTuTu rankings in 2016, until a stronger competitor appeared on the scene. LeEco Le Pro 3 also runs Snapdragon 821 with a core frequency of up to 2.35GHz. The GPU Adreno 530 is added to the couple of the processor. The smartphone is equipped with 6GB random access memory.

The ratings of smartphones in 2016 look the same. The devices presented in the second half of 2016 broke into the TOP (compare this Antutu rating(See the Android Authority ratings at the end of the article).

The gap between smartphones of A-brands and Chinese manufacturers is narrowing. A powerful smartphone can be found in any price segment. Chinese smartphones get the latest hardware, premium body materials, decent design. Therefore, the choice of a smartphone for the user becomes less obvious and more complex, with the need to consider many factors.

The AnTuTu test software development team has published the traditional annual ranking of the most productive smartphones. In fact, the AnTuTu team compiled three ratings: one absolute for all platforms and also separately for Android smartphones and iOS devices.

The performance score for each model is an arithmetic average of at least 2,000 devices throughout 2016 (devices with fewer than 2000 tested were not included in the rating).

So, the first place with 181,316 points in the overall ranking was taken by the smartphone Apple iPhone 7 Plus, followed by iPhone is coming 7 with 172001 points. Both smartphones use the new A10 Fusion SoC.

Three of the most productive smartphones in 2016 is closed by the OnePlus 3T Android smartphone, built on SoC Snapdragon 821. Its result is 163013 points. The fourth and fifth places are taken by LeEco Le Pro3 and Moto Z. They are followed by OnePlus 3, Xiaomi Mi 5s, ASUS Zenfone 3, Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus and ZTE AXON 7, which rounds out the top ten most productive smartphones of 2016 according to AnTuTu.

Interestingly, in the top 10 there are no Samsung smartphone, although according to ITC tests, the flagship S7 edge shows an excellent level of performance in everyday use. At the same time, the same ZTE AXON 7, which got to the top, showed itself not from the best side in real work.

The AnTuTu developers call the most productive smartphone on Android, of course, the owner of the third place in the overall standings - the OnePlus 3T model. It is followed in the same order by all of the above models, shifted two positions up, since Apple smartphones are not taken into account here.

That is, ZTE AXON ranks eighth in the ranking of the top 10 most productive Android smartphones. The ninth and tenth positions are behind smartphones Google pixel XL and Google Pixel. The results for each model are shown in the graph above.

The leader in the ranking of iOS devices is a tablet based on SoC A9X Apple iPad Pro 12.9 ”with an average score of 194838 points. The second place is taken by the iPhone 7 Plus, and the third - by the Apple tablet iPad Pro 9.7 ". The fourth is the youngest model of the current generation iPhone 7. The first image shows us a list of the most productive smartphones in general (excluding the type of operating system)

TOP 10 most powerful smartphones

TOP 10 most powerful Android smartphones

Now let's define the most productive Android smartphone of 2016 by AnTuTu version. Oddly enough, at the head of the rating is the one already mentioned by us - LeEco Pro3 from his 160 856 points... The Chinese "made" everyone and became leaders in this matter.

The second place belongs to Xiaomi 5S Plus - 153,777 points, while the bronze goes to Smartisan M1L with 149,705 points. Everything here is similar to the previous list, but we omit the Iphone.

4 Xiaomi 5S - 142,280 points

5.One Plus 3 - 140,288 points

6.vivo Explay5 Flagship - 138,706 Points

7. Samsung Galaxy Note 7 - 138,373 points

8. LeEco Max2 - 123,026 points

Two last places in the list of the most powerful, such gadgets are received that we have not yet mentioned today:

9. ZTE Nubia Z11 - 137 685 points

By the way, the leading troika consisting of LeEco Pro3, Xiaomi 5s Plus and Smartisan M1L has remained unchanged since September. Note, smartphones and were officially presented at the end of October. So their results AnTuTu test were not taken into account. It is possible that one of these two, and maybe both phones, will be included in this list next month.

The AnTuTu team behind one of the most popular benchmarks for mobile devices, has published its regular monthly report. It includes the most powerful of 2016, as of October 1. In comparison with the previous ratings (which have not changed much for several months), there is a significant change in the list. It is caused by the fact that several companies released new flagships in September.

Top most powerful smartphones

"Younger brother", iPhone 7 - the second most powerful smartphone of 2016... The device scored 170 thousand "parrots" in the test. It is equipped with the same Apple A10 Fusion chipset, but the device has 2 GB of RAM. The difference of only 2 thousand points is due to the fact that the new device is equipped with the same HD screen as its predecessor, the iPhone 6s, which does not create large loads on the computing part.

LeEco Le Pro 3 is the most powerful smartphone of 2016
,running Android. the device was able to score almost 161 thousand points thanks to the new Snapdragon 821 chipset. The updated version of the flagship SoC differs from the 820th by minor architectural improvements that increased energy efficiency and made it possible to increase clock frequencies. Overclocked 4 Kryo cores and an accelerated graphics version of the Adreno 530 were able to achieve almost 15% performance gain. Contributed to the progress and 6 GB of RAM on board. The main disadvantage of the device can be considered the lack of a standard headphone jack, like the iPhone 7. Music lovers will have to be content with an adapter, buy wireless headset or "ears" with USB Type C.

Xiaomi Mi5S Plus is on the fourth line in the TOP of the most powerful smartphones
... He was able to score 153 thousand points, which is almost 20 thousand more than its predecessor. The same Snapdragon 821 provided a high result. The device has 6 gigabytes of RAM, as befits a flagship on Android. The 5.7 ″ screen has the usual FullHD resolution (not QHD), so the 5% lag behind the leader LeEco looks a little strange. However, at the time of this writing, Xiaomi Mi5S Plus is the most powerful smartphone in the world, equipped with a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The fifth place in the TOP of the most powerful smartphones went to Xiaomi Mi5S
... He scored 142 thousand "parrots", breaking the record of the leader of last month, OnePlus 3. The smartphone is also equipped with a Snapdragon 821 chipset, but its clock speed has been reduced from 2.35 to 2.15 GHz. This, as well as the decrease in the RAM capacity to 4 GB, explains the 11 thousand points difference with the "older brother". Indeed, unlike iPhones, here the screen resolution of both devices is 1920 × 1080 pixels, while Apple puts FullHD matrices only in the 7 Plus model. Interestingly, both new Xiaomi flagships, like LeEco Le Pro 3, were able to get into the selection after just a few days from the start of sales. This means that the owners of these devices have performed more than 500 tests each with device verification through the company's service. Previously, some devices did not make it to the TOP for more than a month since the start of sales (for example, HTC 10), due to the lack of tests in the AnTuTu database.

The record holder of the last month, OnePlus 3, slipped from the first line to sixth.
The previous record holder, the Snapdragon 820 chipset, after 7 months of the reign, ceremoniously ceded the throne to his heir. Now Snapdragon 821 is the most powerful processor for smartphones on Android 2016. The OnePlus 3 scores 140,000 points, thanks to the processor and 6GB of RAM. The screen resolution of the device is standard 1920 x 1080 pixels.

Vivo Xplay 5 is on the seventh line in the ranking of the most powerful smartphones for September 2016
... The result of his testing is more than 138 thousand AnTuTu "parrots", due to the presence of the same Snapdragon 820 and 6 GB of RAM. The screen with a QHD 2560x1440 resolution did not allow the device to surpass the August record of 140 thousand. It consumes a bit more processing power than FullHD and therefore reduces overall performance.

Eighth in the list of the most fast smartphones got Samsung Galaxy Note 7
... The "explosive" device (by the way, sales of its updated version without defects in the battery have already begun in the world) scored the same 138 thousand points, thanks to the Snapdragon 820 chipset. The model based on the Exynos 8890, sold in Europe, gains about 5 thousand points smaller. The Korean flagship has 4 GB of RAM and a screen resolution of 2560x1440 pixels. Thus, the Korean developers can be commended for a decent optimization, which allowed the phablet to outperform some competitors with 6GB and FullHD.
