Minuses

Not everything corresponds to the declared

Review

1. The set includes a paid viewing card for 7 days! Not a month as indicated in the description. 2. I had to look for this card for 2 days, I even opened a ticket in the support service about this. It turned out that the woodpecker packed the card into the slot of the box with the receiver, apparently it was too lazy to open the box. I discovered this only by disassembling completely the box from under the receiver. 3. Tuning to the satellite was quite successful on our own. There are troubles with registration on the site (for 2 days I could not receive SMS confirmation for mobile number from Beeline. When I entered another number, it came instantly. Some kind of bad luck, or what?) 4. I took the kit for a summer residence. The B521 model was chosen because of the 2 receivers and the declared support for the multi-screen function. In fact, the multiscreen works clumsily. The Tricolor.TV website says about the Play.Tricolor application, but there is no such application for android. Those. it was once, but now we have to use something else. Suddenly called "Multiscreen"! Reviews on it read like the novel "Walking through the agony". I managed to run it all via WiFi, but again a bummer - I did not see any of the paid channels of the One package in it. Only free Info, Technical Support and Promo Cinema. Another radio for some reason ... The program on the tablet periodically falls; everything is very raw. In general, the set is good, the quality of the broadcast is excellent, but TRICOLOR does not get tired of disappointing with its service. They sit, by the way, in St. Petersburg. Getting through to support can be difficult. There is a CIP phone directly from the site, this is convenient if the Internet channel is normal (which not everyone has at the dachas) and if they deign to answer. It's tight on the weekend. There is Skype, I called on the weekend, I could not connect even once.

Self-tuning the Tricolor TV antenna will allow you to understand the principle of the system. This way you will make fewer mistakes, be able to tune channels and troubleshoot. At the same time, knowing how to set up Tricolor TV, you can definitely save money.

The whole process of mounting the antenna and setting up the equipment takes from two to six hours. In this case, the most important thing is to make holes in the wall and stretch the cable. If you have a hammer drill, wrenches and a set from Tricolor TV, you can easily install and, of course, set up a satellite dish.

  1. Choosing the best place to install the plate
  2. Secure antenna mount and cable routing
  3. Signal setup and test
  4. Setting up the receiver
  5. Registration
  6. Channel setup.

Place for installing the Tricolor TV antenna

To get the desired result, everything must be done right from the very beginning. The choice of location is primarily determined by the connection with the satellite, which, as everyone knows, plows through outer space :). That is why, the main task is not to overlap this connection other houses, walls, trees, and other possible obstructions.

It is necessary to choose a suitable place on the outside of the house and ensure that the signal from the satellite is received without any obstacles. It is advisable that you have constant access to the antenna and that it is installed as close to the receiver as possible. This is necessary for the setup to be as fast as possible. The dish should be facing south as all TV satellites are facing south. Therefore, it makes no sense to install the antenna on the north side.

The outside of the balcony, the outside wall near the windows, or the roof of the house can be an ideal place. It is recommended to protect the plate from strong wind, rain, hail and snow. Do not place it under a slope of the roof or other possible gutters, as this can greatly impair signal reception.

Installation and adjustment of the satellite antenna Tricolor TV

The plate must be installed securely, so approach the choice of fasteners as carefully as possible. The fasteners depend on the material of the walls and the possible wind force, which can damage the antenna or its component parts, which can lead to troubles and additional costs.

Assemble the antenna according to the instructions included in the kit.

Pay attention to the converter, which will need to be installed with the connector down, so that moisture, snow, dust, etc. do not get on it. This can greatly reduce the signal.

Fix the bracket to the wall.

As securely as possible and attach the already assembled plate to it. Please note that you should not immediately tighten the adjusting nuts to the end, as you still have to twist the antenna and pick up the signal. Make sure the antenna can swing in any direction without obstruction.

Prepare the cable on both sides.

Strip 15 mm of insulation, carefully fold the braid and foil, remove 10 mm of the insulator and expose the inner core. Then screw on the connector and leave no more than 2 mm of cores behind the connector. The cable is ready! Now connect the cable to the converter on the antenna, pull it into the room to the receiver and connect. Secure the cable with electrical tape to the converter holder so that it does not deteriorate from the wind.

Turn on the receiver and insert the smart card

Turn on the receiver and connect it to the TV following the instructions and insert the smart card with the chip down. Turn on the TV and the receiver, after which the setup wizard should be activated. Next, you need to configure the basic parameters. On the TV, check if the signal is coming from the receiver. Now enter the antenna tuning mode and press the arrow to the right until two strips with numbers appear on the screen below, which indicate the signal strength.

Tricolor TV antenna adjustment

Now you need to achieve fine geographic adjustment. This is achieved by using a specific angle vertically and horizontally. It is required to rotate the antenna in increments of one centimeter until the two bars at the bottom of the screen turn green and the numbers cross the 70% mark. This means that the signal is excellent. It is important to know that after each spin, you must wait 5 seconds for the signal to arrive.

We tighten the nuts on the satellite dish

The adjusting nuts can then be tightened securely.

Note: It is best to tune in dry and cloudless weather, as cloudiness and precipitation can affect the satellite signal quality.

So, you have configured the dish, now you need to register and activate the smartcard.

Tricolor TV smart card registration

If you yourself were able to install the plate, as well as configure the receiver, then you can easily figure out the registration and activation of the card. Registration is required to activate the card and obtain a warranty for the purchased equipment.

Registration of Tricolor TV smart card via the Internet

If it is more convenient for you to register the card via the Internet, then this process will take no more than five minutes, read more about. In this case, you just need to fill out registration form on the Tricolor TV website, after which the card will be activated and you will be provided with your contract number. We configure channels for Tricolor TV equipment

To connect and configure satellite equipment, it is necessary to use a competent systematic approach. Otherwise, unpleasant consequences cannot be avoided. In order to properly mount and run the Tricolor GS-8306 receiver on your own, the manufacturer recommended an instruction for study that can significantly simplify these processes. The material will talk about what the equipment connection diagram is, and how not to get confused in the numerous connectors of the set-top box.

The satellite receiver of the presented model was released in 2012, when the Tricolor company began to transfer subscribers to content in high definition.

This is one of the few receivers of the company, realized in two colors: black - GS-8306b and silver - GS-8306s.

Also, this device is one of the most compact in the line. A well-thought-out combination of connectors allows not only to connect equipment, but also to simplify work with it as much as possible, expand functionality by installing additional software.

The metal body GS-8306 from Tricolor is equipped with big amount ventilation openings. This is due primarily to the fact that low-cost equipment often fails due to overheating. This model has an external power supply and a well-thought-out cooling system.

Users are warned that the packaging film can remain both on the surface and inside the receiver body. This can lead to heat build-up and breakage.

To avoid such consequences, before launching the GS-8306 Tricolor TV satellite receiver, you must examine carefully.

So, opening the box, the consumer will find:

  • digital set-top box GS-8306;
  • satellite dish;
  • power supply unit and adapter for it;
  • remote control;
  • two batteries for remote control type AAA;
  • smart card;
  • composite AV cable.

Required documents

Not many subscribers are in the habit of studying the user manual after purchasing the equipment and, according to it, proceed to installation. As a rule, everything happens exactly the opposite. When the satellite receiver stops working or there are problems with its functionality, the consumer reaches for the brochures that the manufacturer put in the box.

These same documents provide an opportunity to obtain comprehensive information not only about the properties and indication of the receiver, but also about the terms, addresses and conditions of warranty service. That's why they cannot be thrown away, as well as all the packaging.

Preservation of the original equipment configuration is a guarantee of exchange and return of equipment in case of its failure.

Self-connecting the set-top box

After examining the contents of the package, you can start assembling the kit and its subsequent configuration.

It is important that all actions are carried out only when the power supply is disconnected. This is necessary for the safety of work, as well as the safety of the Tricolor receiver itself.

Receiver setup

As soon as the set-top box is connected to the network and the initial data download is completed, the "Settings Wizard" will be automatically launched. Any subscriber will be able to quickly navigate the necessary actions, using the volume control and "OK" buttons on the remote control to select and confirm.
