FAULTS
Heating instructions (*) only apply to COOLING AND HEATING MODELS (Reverse cycle).

In the event of a malfunction (smell of burning, etc.), stop using the appliance immediately, turn off the circuit breaker or disconnect the power plug from the mains, and contact authorized service personnel.

Simply turning off the instrument's power switch will not completely disconnect the instrument from the power source. Always be sure to turn off the circuit breaker or disconnect the power plug from the mains to ensure complete shutdown nutrition.

OPERATING TIPS
Operation and Results
* Results in Heating mode

  • This air conditioner works on the principle of heat injection, absorbing heat from the outside air and transferring this heat to the room. Therefore, the performance decreases as the outside temperature drops. If the heating results are insufficient, we recommend using this air conditioner together with another heating device.
  • Heat pumping air conditioners heat a room by circulating air through it, so it sometimes takes a while to warm up the room after turning on the air conditioner.

* Microcomputer Controlled Automatic Defrosting
When using Heating mode, when the outdoor temperature is low and the humidity is high, frost may form on the outdoor unit, resulting in poor performance. To prevent deterioration in performance, this appliance is equipped with an Automatic Defrosting function, which is controlled by a microcomputer. If frost builds up, the air conditioner stops operating temporarily and the defrost cycle runs for a short period (approximately 7 to 15 minutes). During the Auto Defrost function, the OPERATION indicator light (red) flashes.

* When indoor and outdoor temperatures are high
If the indoor and outdoor temperatures are high during Heating operation, the fan of the outdoor unit may stop at times.

* Cooling at low ambient temperature
When the outdoor temperature drops, the fans of the outdoor unit may switch to Low speed.

Heating instructions (*) only apply to COOLING AND HEATING MODELS (Reverse cycle).

AUTO Restart
In the event of a power outage

  • In the event of a power outage due to a power outage, the air conditioner will automatically resume operation in the previously selected mode after the power supply is restored.
  • In the event of a power outage during the TIMER operation, the timer will restart, and the split system will start (or stop) in accordance with new installation timer. In this case, the TIMER indicator light (green) will flash (see page 4).
  • Using other electrical appliances (electric shavers, etc.) or using a radio transmitter near the unit may cause the air conditioner to malfunction. In this case, temporarily disconnect the power plug from the outlet, reconnect it, and then use the remote control to restart the unit.

  • If the air conditioner is used at a higher temperature than specified, the internal protection circuit is activated to prevent damage to the internal circuit. In addition, if the unit is used in cooling and drying modes at a lower temperature than specified, the heat exchanger may freeze, leading to water leakage and other damage.
Do not use the unit for any other purpose other than cooling, (*) heating, drying, recirculation in residential premises.

The international holding General Climate was founded in 2002 and soon took a firm place in the market. Today the company manufactures ventilation, heating systems, refrigeration units and air conditioners. All products have a certificate of conformity.

Air conditioner lines

The Russian-British corporation produces all types of modern air conditioners. The types differ among themselves in the complexity of the design and power, which opens up unlimited possibilities for their use.

Monoblocks

Distinctive features: simple design, ease of installation, small coverage. Monoblocks differ from other varieties in their low weight (compact, in comparison with other types).

Monoblocks General Climate are available in the following series:

  • window conditioners GCW 05 and 07;
  • mobile (portable) GCP 09 and 12.

They differ in functionality (auto-restart, self-diagnostics), power (up to 30 sq. M), have several operating modes (auto, timer, night). The main disadvantage is the noticeable noise level.

Recently, the company began to produce high-temperature GC / GU-CHT and PHT monoblock type for industrial premises with high temperatures (up to + 70 C). And also the roof series Gart.

Split systems

Consist of an indoor and outdoor unit. The installation will require professional assistance, as in the case of dismantling. They correspond to the class of energy efficient appliances (class A). They not only cool, but also have a heating function.

The split-system General Climate is of different types:

  • traditional (classic) split-systems of the Standart, Alfa-neo, Flagman series,
  • systems with UV air cleaning GC-EAF07UVN1, GC-EAF09UVN1, GC-EAF12UVN1,
  • inverter air conditioners Africa and EAR09HRN1-RBTI ARTISTO series,

Devices of this class differ from competitors in assembly quality, functionality (heating, self-cleaning, humidity function), and a high level of energy efficiency. The product is said to have a good price-performance ratio.

Commercial semi-industrial

General Climate produces:

  • cassette air conditioner 4C for rooms with a false ceiling, the indoor unit (fan coil) is located between the ceiling and the suspended structure;
  • duct air conditioners DN for cooling several rooms (the system consists of a network of air ducts with grilles and an indoor unit with a powerful fan);
  • Column GC-FS for large rooms - up to 200 sq. m (halls, halls, in production), easy to install (the indoor unit looks like columns);
  • floor-to-ceiling CF provide uniform cooling by directing a powerful stream of air along the ceiling and walls;
  • universal outdoor units of the U series for rooms of any size, installed outside, characterized by high performance and durability.

Multisplit systems

The most complex structure, includes several indoor units to serve the adjacent premises. They are used in offices, in production, in residential buildings. Also produced different types: non-inverter MA series, inverter Free Multi.

General Climate multi-split systems are famous for their ease of maintenance and convenient control, however, when directly comparing their characteristics with competitors, they clearly lose. The manufacturer compensates for the difference with an affordable cost.

Multizone

VRF and VRV systems for buildings of any size and number of storeys. They have an outdoor unit and three internal (channel, cassette, and the third is either floor-ceiling, or wall-mounted, or high-power channel) or two external and two internal. Recently, a series of precision COOLSERV has been produced - designed to create safe working conditions in technical rooms, with machines and computers, provides direct evaporation, and provides the ability to install additional equipment.

Compressor-condensing

The high performance Gacu series operates in cooling mode only, with air exiting in one or two directions (vertical and frontal).

The choice in favor of the General Climate brand is worth making: the manufacturer's products "captivate" good ratio prices and quality. General Climate regularly updates its product lines, introduces an innovative approach to the development of new models. Many manufactured air conditioners run on ozone-friendly hydrocarbon - freon. Among the novelties of 2017 is the A09HR air conditioner equipped with a COLD PLASMA ionizer (with it, dust in the room becomes half as much in just 10 minutes).

But before purchasing a specific model, it is worth studying the review of air conditioners, compare specifications.

Instructions for the control panel and air conditioners General Climate

The manufacturer has developed a manual for each series of household and semi-industrial appliances. Distinctive features specific model(technical characteristics) are indicated in the passport. The manual for General Climate air conditioners contains recommendations for operation, management, sections "Installing the General Climate air conditioner", "Maintenance", troubleshooting, a description of the device (what is included in the kit is shown in a schematic form), recommendations for care (how to clean the case, the process filter cleaning).

We advise you to carefully study the safety precautions. Violation of the rules may lead to the device shutdown (do not block the air outlet openings). If you are not going to use the device for a long time (for example, during the whole winter period), remove the plug from the socket and the batteries from the remote control. The power supply should be switched on 12 hours before starting, this way of connecting to the mains contributes to the efficient and smooth operation of the device.

As the user reviews show, the remote control for the General Climate air conditioner has a minimum of buttons, so it is easy to use. You can easily:

  • adjust and change the direction of the air flow at any time,
  • install temperature regime, create comfortable conditions (set exactly as many degrees as needed by family members or workers in the room).

The filter must be cleaned 2 times a week, cleaned with a vacuum cleaner or rinsed with clean water with the outside facing down. Before cleaning, you must turn off the power, disassemble the air conditioner: remove the cover and take out the filter.

General Climate air conditioner error codes

The manufacturer has developed troubleshooting procedures. Error codes for General Climate air conditioners are registered for household appliances of the Standard, Cyborg series, for mobile and semi-industrial. In some cases, in addition to the code and its description, the possible reason errors. The code can be seen on the display of models that have a self-diagnosis function. And also using a combination of indicator signals (blinking, on, off). For example, if the indicator starts blinking, it means that work has been resumed after a failure.

Most problems can be dealt with on their own, others can only be done by an electrician, service specialists. To help them, specially developed service manuals (repair instructions with electrical circuits). Be prepared for the fact that in some cases you will have to replace components: a pump (drains condensate from the indoor unit), a heat pump (because of which General Climate air conditioners are often called cabinet units), a carbon filter, etc. Under warranty, replacement can be made free of charge (given for 3 years).

V service center carry out not only repairs, but also diagnostics, preventive work, you can order cleaning, refueling freon. You can also learn about the main problems associated with the operation of systems from the instructions (codes are not given in it).

Turning on the air conditioner

With the help of this manual, you will learn how to turn on and correctly set up a household air conditioner. Any remote control of a domestic air conditioner has 5 main buttons. Let's arrange them as their significance in use decreases:

  • button "on / off" - turning on and off the air conditioner;
  • buttons "temp" ("up", "down" or "+", "-") - increase and decrease the required temperature;
  • button "fan" ("fan speed") - regulation of the air supply speed (shaft rotation speed);
  • "swing" button - changing the position of the louvers (direction of air supply);
  • button "mode" - switching modes: cold, heat, moisture removal, ventilation, auto;

Let's say we have never used an air conditioner, or just installed it, or do not know in what mode it is configured (heat, cold, etc.). In order to check the device's performance, you can follow the following instructions.

We turn on the air conditioner for cooling:

  1. We turn on the "power" air conditioner (turn on the machine or "plug" the plug into the socket). At the same time, a beep should sound from the indoor unit. We are waiting for the blinds to close.
  2. Click on the "on / off" button... The louvers of the indoor unit should open.
  3. Click on the "mode" button so many times until we switch to cooling mode (look at the display of the remote control). It should light up a "snowflake" or an indicator opposite the inscription "cool".
  4. Using the buttons "up", "down" or "+", "-" set the temperature(look at the numbers on the remote control). We set the temperature that we want to maintain in the room (the higher the number, the warmer it is in the room). Read more. For example, we set 25. This means that the air conditioner will further maintain the temperature in the room by itself at + 25˚C.

When setting up some air conditioners, this figure may change after a couple of seconds (showing the current temperature in the room);

  1. Further, if necessary, change the shaft rotation speed with the "fan" button;
  2. We can adjust the direction of the air flow using the swing button.

You should know it:

  • the air conditioner will not cool if the room temperature has reached the set temperature;
  • when using the remote control, always point it at the air conditioner.

Free advice: when using the air conditioner, you do not need to turn it off at night or when you get cold. It is better to set the optimum temperature. So you will be comfortable, and the air conditioner will work in its normal mode. For example, at night, you can increase the set temperature by 1-2 degrees.

It specializes in the production of climatic technology. The main criteria that determine any of the General climate products are convenience, availability and reliability in management. except household air conditioners General climate The company produces complex air conditioning systems for industrial enterprises: precision air conditioners, special purpose systems, commercial air conditioners for operation in more severe conditions.

Air conditioner manual General climate

The instruction manual for each type of air conditioners General climate (General climate) contains information about the use of devices, about what advantages the installation of an air conditioner of this particular brand.

General climate gc air conditioners are equipped with a special type of evaporator with increased heat exchange capacity, which allows to increase the efficiency of the appliance. Special filters trap harmful impurities and improve indoor air quality. The latest compressor types quickly heat or cool a room. Convenient design of split systems makes it easy to care for the device.

Particular attention in the operating instructions is given to the safe use of the General climate gc air conditioner. Detailed description of the operating rules is supplied with pictures. The diagram of the device is shown with the designation of all its constituent parts. Recommendations are given to reduce the energy consumption of the air conditioner.

Control panel manual

The operating instructions for the General climate control unit are highlighted special section... The manufacturer recommends that the range of the remote control is eight meters.

  • Do not curtain the indoor unit of the air conditioner with curtains, blinds blocking the access of the beams from the remote control;
  • Direct sunlight on the case of the indoor unit impairs signal reception;
  • It is strictly forbidden to wet remote for general climate conditioner by water, heating;
  • It is advisable to use batteries from the same manufacturer;
  • Before vacation or business trip, remove the batteries from the remote control;
  • For any emergency situations, consult the instructions for the General climate conditioner.

If the general climate control unit does not work or is out of reach, you can start the air conditioner at automatic mode by pressing the AUTO button on the front panel of the indoor unit.

The air conditioner has long been an integral device for creating comfortable indoor conditions. It is with his help that people are saved on the hottest summer days. But a very small number of users know that this device can be used efficiently even in winter. How to set the air conditioner to warm if it gets too cold in winter?

Turn on heating

Before setting the air conditioner to heating mode, you need to make sure that its operating temperature is within the operating limits, otherwise the system may fail. Undoubtedly, different manufacturing companies (for example, LG, Samsung or General) produce a lot of different models, but still there is a certain universal model for turning on heating:

  • It is necessary to turn on the device (power button, labeled “On”).
  • Next, you should press the “Heat” button, which means “warm”.
  • If this button is not present, there may be other options: “Mode”, or any other buttons, under / above which are drawn such icons as “sun”, “drop”, “fan”, “snow”. If none of these buttons are present, it means that the system is not capable of heating.
  • If the “Mode” button is present, you need to press it several times until the “sun” or the signature “Heat” is displayed.
  • Using the selector arrows or the “+/-” buttons, you have to set the comfortable temperature.

After carrying out this entire procedure, the fan will turn on, and after five (maximum ten) minutes, warm air is formed, heated to the temperature set previously by the user. Some remote control models can be configured differently - it is recommended to read the instructions before setting up.

It is not always necessary to use the remote control to turn the air conditioner into heating mode. Any split system has an external panel (sometimes hidden protective shield), the buttons of which duplicate the buttons on the remote control. This is for situations where the remote control is lost, broken, or far away. Using the panel, you can set the system for heating in the same way.

What if the heating won't turn on?

There are two main options: either the setting was made incorrectly, or there is a breakdown in the device itself. It is recommended to turn off the air conditioner and repeat all the steps one more time. If after ten minutes there is no heat from the device, there is a breakdown. The most common malfunction is a lack of freon, which is necessary for the functioning of the heating system. In this situation, it is necessary to take the air conditioner for repair, or call qualified specialists home, especially if the device is under warranty.

In addition, it is possible that the air conditioner is turned on at temperatures incompatible with its normal operation. It should be noted that some manufacturing companies produce additional modifications that expand the operating temperature range from -30 to +30 degrees Celsius.

Advantages and disadvantages of heating mode

Modern air conditioners perfectly heat any premises. A heated air conditioner has a high efficiency (stands for "efficiency", which allows you to create comfortable conditions in an apartment or house. However, it is not recommended to neglect the services of central heating.

The constant operation of the system is relatively harmful to the body, since heated air masses during prolonged circulation in a closed room harm the natural processes of thermoregulation, which can affect immunity.

Video instruction on turning on the air conditioner in heating mode

Recall that the air conditioner has a lot of modes (not only heating).

The video presented explains and shows in detail the method by which you can turn on the heating function on the air conditioner. The user, by his own example, describes in detail all actions using the remote control, as well as the reaction of the system itself to turning on and changing certain parameters related to the heating mode ( sound signals, visual - turning on bulbs).
