On the right side of the planner there is a block "Action". Select the item "Create a simple task".

A simple task creation wizard opens. In the first step, you will be offered to enter the name and description of the task. Fill in at least the name and click the Next button.

In step "Trigger Tasks", select the interval through which the task will be performed. The default is the daily task launch. This value is suitable for reservation. of the desired folders, We leave it as it is and press the "Next" button.

On the next screen, specify the task execution time.

In step "Action", leave the default action "Run the program". Click "Next".

In the next window, you must specify the path to the 7-ZIP archival. You can do this by clicking on the Overview button and select the 7Z file in the Program Files \\ 7-Zip folder on the C disc, or by writing manually:

"C: \\ Program Files \\ 7-zip \\ 7z.exe"

In the Add Argument field, you must specify the following parameters:

a -tzip Path2 Path1

Where "Path1" path to a backup folder, and "Path2" - a full path with the name of the archive file name (i.e., a spare copy). For example:

a -tzip C: \\ temp \\ archive.zip C: \\ Test \\

By completing such a command, the archiver takes the TEST folder and writes Archive.zip archive to the TEMP folder on the C. disk

In step of completing the task creation, see whether you are filled correctly. If so, click the "Finish" button. If not, then click "Back", go back to the desired step and make corrections.

The backup task is created.

Automatic backup of files and folders

The instructions presented above show how you can make an automatic backup of one folder with invested folders and files. But it can take the task to make a copy of the list of files and folders, and located in different places on the hard disk. In this case, you should create a text file with a list of all that you need to reserve and place it in the folder where the archiver is located: "C: \\ Program Files \\ 7-Zip".

In that text file. Each line specifies a separate path to the file or folder. For example, create a backup file with the name ListFile.txt:
