Dmc devil may cry lags. Bugs in DmC? Does the game slow down? Flies out? Troubleshooting Common Problems

Unfortunately, there are flaws in games: brakes, low FPS, crashes, freezes, bugs and other minor and not so much errors. Often, problems begin even before the start of the game, when it is not installed, downloaded or even downloaded. And the computer itself sometimes freaks out, and then in DmC: Devil May Cry, instead of a picture, a black screen, control does not work, you cannot hear a sound or something else.

What to do first

  1. Download and run the world famous CCleaner(download by direct link) is a program that cleans your computer of unnecessary garbage, as a result of which the system will work faster after the first reboot;
  2. Update all drivers in the system using the program Driver Updater(download via direct link) - it will scan your computer and update all drivers to current version in 5 minutes;
  3. Install Advanced System Optimizer(download by direct link) and include in it Game Mode that will complete the useless background processes during the launch of games and will increase the performance in the game.

The second thing to do if you have any problems with DmC: Devil May Cry is to check the system requirements. In an amicable way, you need to do this even before buying, so as not to regret the money spent.

DmC: Devil May Cry minimum system requirements:

Windows XP, Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 Gb RAM, 8 Gb HDD, nVidia GeForce 8800 GTS Video Memory: 512 Mb

Every gamer should at least understand a little about the components, know why you need a video card, processor and other things in system unit.

Files, drivers and libraries

Almost every device in a computer requires a set of special software. These are drivers, libraries and other files that ensure the correct operation of the computer.

It's worth starting with the drivers for the video card. Modern graphics cards produced by only two large companies- Nvidia and AMD. Having found out which product is spinning the coolers in the system unit, we go to the official website and download the package of fresh drivers:

A prerequisite for the successful functioning of DmC is the availability of the latest drivers for all devices in the system. Download the utility Driver Updater to quickly and easily download the latest drivers and install them with one click:

If DmC: Devil May Cry does not start, we recommend that you try to disable your antivirus or put the game in the antivirus exceptions, and check the compliance again system requirements and if something from your assembly does not match, then, if possible, improve your PC by purchasing more powerful components.

DmC: Devil May Cry has black screen, white screen, color screen. Solution

Problems with screens of different colors can be roughly divided into 2 categories.

First, they are often associated with the use of two video cards at once. For example, if your motherboard has a built-in video card, but you play on a discrete one, then DmC: Devil May Cry can be launched for the first time on the built-in one, and you will not see the game itself, because the monitor is connected to a discrete video card.

Secondly, color screens are in case of problems with displaying images on the screen. This can happen for a variety of reasons. For example, DmC: Devil May Cry cannot work through an outdated driver or does not support a video card. Also black / White screen may be displayed when running at resolutions that are not supported by the game.

DmC: Devil May Cry crashes. At a certain or random moment. Solution

You play yourself, play and then - bam! - everything goes out, and now you have a desktop in front of you without any hint of a game. Why it happens? To solve the problem, it is worth trying to figure out what kind of problem the problem is.

If the crash occurs at a random moment in time without any regularity, then with a probability of 99% we can say that this is a mistake of the game itself. In this case, fixing something is very difficult, and the best thing is to just put DmC: Devil May Cry aside and wait for the patch.

However, if you know exactly at what moments the crash occurs, then you can continue the game, avoiding situations that provoke a failure.

However, if you know exactly at what moments the crash occurs, then you can continue the game, avoiding situations that provoke a failure. Alternatively, you can download the DmC save and bypass the departure location.

DmC: Devil May Cry freezes. The picture freezes. Solution

The situation is about the same as with crashes: many freezes are directly related to the game itself, or rather to a developer's error when creating it. However, quite often a frozen picture can become a starting point for investigating the deplorable state of a video card or processor.

So if the picture in DmC: Devil May Cry freezes, then use programs to display statistics on the loading of components. Perhaps your video card has already exhausted its working resource a long time ago, or is the processor warming up to dangerous temperatures?

The easiest way to check the load and temperatures for the graphics card and processors is in MSI Afterburner. If desired, you can even display these and many other parameters over the DmC image.

What temperatures are dangerous? Processors and graphics cards have different operating temperatures. For video cards, they are usually 60-80 degrees Celsius. Processors have a little lower - 40-70 degrees. If the processor temperature is higher, then you should check the state of the thermal paste. It may have already dried out and needs to be replaced.

If the video card is warming up, then you should use the driver or the official utility from the manufacturer. It is necessary to increase the number of revolutions of the coolers and check if the operating temperature drops.

DmC: Devil May Cry crashes. Low FPS. Frame rate drawdowns. Solution

With slowdowns and low frame rates in DmC, the first step is to lower the graphics settings. Of course, there are a lot of them, so before you reduce everything in a row, it is worth finding out exactly how certain settings affect performance.

Screen resolution... In short, this is the number of points from which the picture of the game is formed. The higher the resolution, the higher the load on the video card. However, the increase in load is insignificant, so you should only lower the screen resolution as a last resort, when everything else no longer helps.

Texture quality... Typically, this parameter determines the resolution of the texture files. The quality of textures should be reduced if the video card has a small amount of video memory (less than 4 GB) or if a very old one is used HDD, the spindle speed is less than 7200.

Model quality(sometimes just detailing). This setting determines which set of 3D models will be used in the game. The higher the quality, the more polygons. Accordingly, high-poly models require more computing power video cards (not to be confused with the amount of video memory!), which means that this parameter should be reduced on video cards with a low core or memory frequency.

Shadows... They are implemented in different ways. In some games, shadows are created dynamically, that is, they are rendered in real time every second of the game. Such dynamic shadows load both the processor and the video card. For optimization purposes, developers often abandon full-fledged rendering and add pre-rendered shadows to the game. They are static, because in fact they are just textures overlaid on top of the main textures, which means they load memory, and not the video card core.

Often, developers add additional settings related to shadows:

  • Shadow Resolution - Determines how detailed the shadow cast by the object will be. If there are dynamic shadows in the game, it loads the video card core, and if a previously created render is used, it "eats" the video memory.
  • Soft Shadows - smoothing out unevenness on the shadows themselves, usually this option is given together with dynamic shadows. Regardless of the type of shadows, it loads the video card in real time.

Smoothing... It allows you to get rid of ugly corners at the edges of objects by using a special algorithm, the essence of which is usually to generate several images at once and compare them, calculating the "smoothest" picture. There are many different anti-aliasing algorithms that differ in the level of impact on the performance of DmC: Devil May Cry.

For example, MSAA works "head-on", creating 2, 4 or 8 renders at once, so the frame rate is reduced by 2, 4 or 8 times, respectively. Algorithms such as FXAA and TAA act a little differently, achieving a smoother image by calculating only the edges and using some other tricks. As a result, they do not degrade performance as much.

Lighting... As with anti-aliasing, there are different algorithms for lighting effects: SSAO, HBAO, HDAO. They all use the resources of the video card, but they do it differently depending on the video card itself. The fact is that the HBAO algorithm was promoted mainly on video cards from Nvidia (GeForce line), so it works best on "green" ones. HDAO, on the other hand, is optimized for AMD video cards. SSAO is the simplest type of lighting, it consumes the least resources, so in case of brakes in DmC: Devil May Cry it is worth switching it.

What to reduce first? Shadows, anti-aliasing and lighting effects tend to be the most stressful, so it's best to start with these.

Often, gamers themselves have to do the DmC optimization themselves. For almost all major releases, there are various relevant forums and forums where users share their ways to improve productivity.

One of them is a special program called Advanced System Optimizer. It is made especially for those who do not want to manually clean up the computer from various temporary files, delete unnecessary registry entries and edit the startup list. Advanced System Optimizer will do this on its own, as well as analyze your computer to identify how you can improve performance in applications and games.

DmC: Devil May Cry lags. Big game lag. Solution

Many people confuse "brakes" with "lags", but these problems have completely different reasons. DmC slows down when the frame rate at which the picture is displayed on the monitor decreases, and lags when the delay when accessing the server or any other host is too high.

That is why "lags" can only be in network games. The reasons are different: bad network code, physical distance from servers, network congestion, incorrectly configured router, low speed of the Internet connection.

However, the latter happens less often. In online games, communication between the client and the server takes place by exchanging relatively short messages, so even 10 MB per second should be enough for the eyes.

There is no sound in DmC: Devil May Cry. I can not hear anything. Solution

DmC works, but somehow it doesn't sound - this is another problem that gamers face. Of course, you can play this way, but it's still better to figure out what's the matter.

The first step is to determine the scale of the problem. Where exactly is there no sound - only in the game or in general on the computer? If only in the game, then perhaps this is due to the fact that the sound card is very old and does not support DirectX.

If there is no sound at all, then the matter is unambiguously in setting up the computer. The drivers may be installed incorrectly sound card, or maybe there is no sound due to some specific error of our beloved Windows OS.

Controls not working in DmC: Devil May Cry. DmC cannot see mouse, keyboard or gamepad. Solution

How to play if it is impossible to control the process? The problems of supporting specific devices are irrelevant here, because we are talking about familiar devices - a keyboard, mouse and controller.

Thus, errors in the game itself are practically excluded, almost always the problem is on the user's side. You can solve it in different ways, but, one way or another, you will have to contact the driver. Usually when connecting a new device operating system immediately tries to use one of the standard drivers, but some models of keyboards, mice and gamepads are not compatible with them.

Thus, you need to find out the exact model of the device and try to find exactly its driver. Often, devices from well-known gaming brands come with their own software kits, since the standard Windows driver trite can not ensure the correct operation of all functions of a particular device.

If you don't want to look for drivers for all devices separately, then you can use the program Driver Updater... It is designed for automatic search drivers, so you just need to wait for the scan results and load required drivers in the program interface.

It is not uncommon for the brakes in DmC: Devil May Cry to be caused by viruses. In this case, it makes no difference how powerful the video card is in the system unit. You can check your computer and clean it of viruses and other unwanted software using special programs... For example NOD32. The antivirus has proven itself to be the best and has received the approval of millions of users around the world.

ZoneAlarm is suitable for both personal use and small business, is able to protect a computer running Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP against any attacks: phishing, viruses, malware, spyware and other cyber threats. New users receive a 30-day free trial.

Nod32 is an anti-virus from ESET, which has received many awards for its contribution to the development of security. On the developer's website, versions of antivirus programs are available for both PC and mobile devices, a 30-day trial is provided. There are special conditions for business.

DmC: Devil May Cry downloaded from torrent does not work. Solution

If the distribution kit of the game was downloaded via torrent, then in principle there can be no guarantees of work. Torrents and repacks are almost never updated via official apps and do not work over the network, because in the course of hacking, hackers cut out everything from games network functions which are often used for license verification.

Using such versions of games is not only inconvenient, but even dangerous, because very often many files are changed in them. For example, pirates modify an EXE file to bypass protection. At the same time, no one knows what else they are doing with it. Maybe they are embedding a self-executing software... For example, which, when the game is first launched, will integrate into the system and use its resources to ensure the welfare of hackers. Or, giving access to the computer to third parties. There are no guarantees here and cannot be.

In addition, the use of pirated versions is, according to our publication, theft. The developers have spent a lot of time creating the game, investing their own funds in the hope that their brainchild will pay off. And every work must be paid.

Therefore, if you encounter any problems with games downloaded from torrents or hacked using one or another means, you should immediately remove the "pirate", clean your computer with antivirus and a licensed copy of the game. This will not only save you from questionable software, but also allow you to download updates for the game and receive official support from its creators.

DmC gives an error about missing DLL file. Solution

As a rule, problems associated with missing DLLs occur when starting DmC: Devil May Cry, but sometimes the game can access certain DLLs in the process and, not finding them, crash in the most insolent way.

To fix this error, you need to find the required DLL and install it on the system. The easiest way to do this is with the program DLL-fixer which scans the system and helps you quickly find missing libraries.

If your problem turned out to be more specific, or the method described in this article did not help, then you can ask other users in our "" section. They will help you promptly!

Thank you for your attention!

Finally, CAPCOM released their brainchild on which they worked for so long. Well, unfortunately, many users encountered some problems when launching DMC: Devil May Cry, in particular, the game freezes and sometimes crashes.

How to deal with crashes and freezes in DMC: Devil May Cry

For starters, don't panic and complain about the game's lopsided build. Let's start in order. First, make sure your computer meets the minimum system requirements for DMC: Devil May Cry:

OS (operating system): Windows XP / Vista / 7/8
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.4 Ghz / AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+
RAM: 2 Gb
HDD: 8 Gb free
Video memory: 512 Mb
Video card: nVidia GeForce 8800 GTS / ATI Radeon HD 3850
Sound card: DirectX compatible
DirectX: 9.0c

But it's even better if your computer meets the recommended system requirements for the game, which are equal to:

OS (operating system): Windows Vista / 7/8
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad @ 2.7 GHz / AMD Phenom II X4 @ 3.0 GHz
RAM: 4 Gb
HDD: 9 Gb free
Video memory: 1 Gb
Video card: nVidia GeForce GTX 560 / ATI Radeon HD 6950
Sound card: DirectX compatible
DirectX: 10c

In the event that your computer does not meet the minimum system requirements for the game, this can be the reason for crashes and freezes in the game. In this case, it is recommended to replace the lagging parts with more powerful ones. Be sure to pay attention to the DirectX graph. It is desirable that your video card supports DirectX 10.0.

If your DMC: Devil May Cry crashes with an error, pay attention to the error text. If words appear in it dx, directX, or any phrase with these words, then the problem lies in DirectX - either the wrong version supported by your video card, or in the DirectX software, which in any case is recommended to be updated.

1. Perhaps you have outdated drivers for the video card. For the stable operation of modern games, you need the most latest version drivers, which you can download from the link below.

2. Also, the problem may lie in an under-installed or incorrectly installed system component Microsoft VCredist 2005-2010 Recommended

If not enough, the problem has not been resolved, read other materials on the site.

Devil May Cry HD Collection is not installed

If Devil May Cry HD Collection won't install, see if you have enough free space on your hard drive. The distribution requires free space, so a few gigabytes of extra space won't hurt. Many modern games require a significant amount of space.

Devil May Cry HD Collection installation is blocked by antivirus

Often, antivirus software, in the fight against viruses, protecting our computer from the effects of external threats, for security purposes, they block numerous processes performed by the operating system. Sometimes this security is so strong that the antivirus blocks access not only to viruses, but also suspends some normal processes, possibly mistakenly considering them potentially vulnerable. Disable your antivirus during installation.

Cleaning your computer and restarting

Sometimes, a simple reboot of the system can solve many problems at once during the installation of games and their subsequent work. The same applies to programs, applications. There are many reasons: the computer is clogged with garbage, the system cache is full, the maximum permissible number of simultaneously running processes, some of them may be frozen and not running, but they put a load on the system. Cleaning your computer and restarting will fix the situation.

No Internet access

Some game clients require an Internet connection during the installation process, providing access to the installation server or the update server. Make sure the quality of the connection, and if there is no Internet, be prepared for problems during the installation of Devil May Cry HD Collection. It's good if the system gives an error message. And if there is none, you can think for a long time and wonder why the toy is not installed.

Devil May Cry HD Collection not starting

Before looking for reasons why Devil May Cry HD Collection won't launch, make sure that the installation itself was successful. Otherwise, if there were failures during the installation process, but at the same time the game was installed, it is impossible to guarantee the subsequent launch and performance. If it starts, you're lucky. What will happen next is unknown. Remember the installation process.

Reinstalling the game

Many gamers have repeatedly faced a situation where they had to reinstall games. Apparently this is the case where reinstalling Devil May Cry HD Collection will fix the issue. What is the reason, it is not known, maybe the antivirus or firewall at the time of installation "ate" some files or something else, but after installing the game again, it starts and works. Uninstall Devil May Cry HD Collection and reinstall, paying attention to every detail during this process. Perhaps at some point the program will ask additional files etc.

There are times when installing on top is already installed game solves the situation. The installer may prompt you to update the files. This eliminates the need for deletion. Well, something like this.

Finding information on the text of the error

Another option. Problems launching Devil May Cry HD Collection are usually accompanied by a corresponding system message. Search for the text of the error, as a result of which you will receive the most detailed answer, and, moreover, concerning this specific problem. Actually, the decision will not be long in coming. This will pinpoint the cause and correct the problem.

By the way, for some reason I always forget about it. Until I turn the whole computer over. But this one the method works at all 92%... It is enough just to hammer the text into the search and find a useful article. So you will definitely solve the problem, you do not need to send the PC to the workshop ahead of time and incur additional costs. There are many useful material- study.

NET Framework, which ensures the launch and maintains the performance of programs and applications, including games. it required condition and Microsoft .NET Framework must be installed on your PC.

There are different versions of the .NET Framework. The presence on the computer of any one of them cannot be enough guarantee the correct operation of the program. If, for example, a library is already installed on your computer, but the game requires - download and install it. Reboot your PC. previous version will not be deleted, will not be overwritten. They will just work together.

Take advantage of programs that prepare your computer for the game to work properly, and help you avoid many problems and errors.

Windows XP / 7/8/10
Windows XP / 7/8/10

DirectX availability

Perhaps the most important condition, a requirement that must be fulfilled for games, including Devil May Cry HD Collection, is the presence of. Without it, no toy will work. Almost all distributions that require installed DirectX already include this set.

Typically, DirectX is installed automatically during installation. If it is missing from the distribution, download and install. It is not necessary to do this before installation, you can also after, but the presence on the computer is simply necessary. Download links are located above.

What if Devil May Cry HD Collection doesn't work?

Do not despair if you have already tried all the methods and nothing helps, the game does not work. Perhaps these tips will seem too vague, incomprehensible, errors are still present. Reconsider, did you do everything right? If necessary, download a different Devil May Cry HD Collection distribution, if purchased from a store, contact the retailer (manufacturer) for assistance. Maybe the disc is damaged, something is missing. This is normal, quite natural, it happens. Use a different distribution and reinstall the game.

As a last resort, there are situations when the operating system is still incompatible with the Devil May Cry HD Collection. Update the system Windows tools(via Update Center). The game will work. If the manufacturer has indicated compatibility, then it is responsible for this. Update your operating system.

Reinstalling the OS is an extreme case. Not sure about statements like "the operating system is pirated ... assembly ... will not work ..." or "hacked, pirate toy - throw it away ..."... The point that is worth your attention is to remember if there were any similar problems with other games, in particular those similar to the Devil May Cry HD Collection. And if problems were observed, this suggests that it may be time to update something in the system or reinstall it. Thank you for attention!

White screen appears in DmC: Devil May Cry

A white screen appears frequently in DmC: Devil May Cry during a church mission to destroy cameras.

Try to start the level again. If it does not help, turn off the game, then in the properties of the game shortcut, in the Compatibility tab, check the boxes:

Run the program as administrator

Disable visual design

Disable desktop composition

Disable image scaling when high definition screen

If the problem continues, download and install the latest patch for the game.

DmC: Devil May Cry freezes every 15-30 seconds

Some players had a problem when the game itself froze for a few moments during the game. During such a freeze, the sound goes on, and the picture freezes for some time.

Defragment hard disk, in particular the lacquer disk on which the game is installed.

Free up more random access memory on a computer by closing resource-intensive programs ( Browser, Skype etc)

After completing the above steps, the problem should be gone.

Lagging or missing sound in DmC: Devil May Cry

Disable hardware acceleration sound. In start select Execute... In the window that appears, enter dxdiag, in the sound tab, remove hardware acceleration. This method only works on Windows XP.

The game stopped working after changing the resolution

A very interesting problem, when after changing the screen resolution in the game settings, it stops starting and gives an error with the text " Failed to create the D3D9 Device! This can happen if the desktop is locked. Exiting ..."D3D9 is a DirectX component, which for reasons known only to Satan stops issuing at the new resolution graphic image on the screen. In this connection, forcibly closes the launch of the game, which is reported in the text of the error. In this case, it is recommended to either play at the old resolution, reinstall the game, or try to update DirectX, or install a patch. Deleting the file helped some d3d9.dll in the game folder.

DmC: Devil May Cry slows down in the last mission

Some players faced unrealistic brakes in the very last mission in the boss fight. The problem was even for those who have high computer hardware. This is due to the poor optimization of the consumption of game resources in the last mission. You can play the rest of the game quickly and flawlessly, but the latter can slow down. For a more comfortable game, it is recommended to reset the graphics settings to a minimum and try to somehow provide more system resources for the game, by closing "heavy" background programs or otherwise. Complete the game as it should be!

After updating DmC: Devil May Cry via Steam or a patch, the game began to slow down
