Step 1: Connecting to the control panel of the router

Setting up almost any router is done using the proprietary device control panel. It is accessed through a browser - the one you use on an ongoing basis.

First of all, you need to physically connect the router to your computer. There are 2 options for such a connection:

You can focus on it as the main one. With a wired connection, the likelihood of certain failures / freezes of the router configuration procedure is minimized.

If the user has ordered a static IP address from the provider, then from the communication service provider you need to find out:

  • The exact value of this IP address ( "IP Address");
  • Subnet mask ( "Subnet Mask");
  • The main gateway ( "Gateway");

Wi-Fi setup
